Lab Work & Your Health
Lab work is critical to your health care and overall well-being. Blood tests are the most common diagnostic tool, helping providers assess your health status and detect potential medical conditions.
Your blood can help the providers at Northeast ProHealth detect, diagnose, evaluate, and treat medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, anemia, and kidney disease. Lab work also plays a crucial role in identifying risk factors for diseases and other conditions, including cancer.
Our Partnership with MedScan Laboratories/Altru Diagnostics
Northeast ProHealth has partnered with MedScan Laboratories/Altru Diagnostics to better serve our patients. With prompt processing of your blood tests, regular quality control checks and a rapid response to concerns, MedScan/Altru has been a valuable partner for Northeast.
Scheduling, Billing, and Additional Services
Please schedule an appointment for at least seven days after your blood draw to ensure all results are received and reviewed. Please allow at least 10 days if your labs are sent to Quest.
As with any medical procedure, patients may receive a bill for lab work. If you have any questions or concerns about any bills, please contact MedScan/Altru or alert a staff member.
Other lab/medical procedures available from our wonderful staff are suture removal, ear cleaning, urine drug screening, urinalysis, respiratory swabs, and Electrocardiogram (EKG) to detect any possible heart issues.
